Jacob “Jake” Alba joined Pinkerton Financial Resources (PFR) in July 2026 as a Financial Paraplanner and registered assistant to Bill Pinkerton. In his role, Jake supports Bill and the PFR team with account servicing, financial guidance to clients, and back-office operations, helping ensure the firm delivers an exceptional experience to every client.
At the heart of Jake’s approach is a commitment to building meaningful, long-term relationships. He combines his growing knowledge of wealth management with a strong background in client relations and sales, bringing a personable, service-oriented perspective to his work with current and prospective PFR clients. Jake is particularly excited to contribute to the next generation of Pinkerton Financial and to grow into a trusted fiduciary for the individuals and families he serves.
Before joining PFR, Jake managed a client relations team within the government contracting industry, representing a vendor specializing in investigative interviewing techniques. During his tenure, he helped nearly double his organization’s public-sector business in less than three years. Earlier in his career, Jake worked as a Mortgage Loan Originator, where he gained valuable experience working with individuals’ finances and developing creative lending strategies to help clients achieve their homeownership goals.
Jake was born in Chicago and raised in Alpharetta, Georgia. He graduated from Alpharetta High School before earning his degree from the University of Mississippi. He returned to the Atlanta area to begin his professional career and now lives in Woodstock, Georgia, with his wife. Outside of work, Jake is an avid golfer, a travel baseball coach, and a devout Chicago Bears and Ole Miss Football fan.
